Course Description

 This is a live in-person course at CCNM’s Toronto Campus and is designed to provide students with the knowledge, theory, protocols, and practice of Facial Acupuncture. Also known as Cosmetic Acupuncture, Michelle Gellis’s classes and recorded webinars will provide you with the skills to offer a gentle, natural method for your patients to rejuvenate and refresh their appearance. It can also be used to help your patients who suffered from stroke, TMJ, Trigeminal Neuralgia, Bell’s Palsy, MS and other facial conditions. 

Learning Objectives

1. Assess a patient for contraindications to facial acupuncture, facial cupping and facial gua sha
2. Design a treatment plan for a facial acupuncture patient
3. Perform a facial acupuncture treatment including any advanced techniques

Prerequisites

This course is ONLY open to naturopathic doctors, licensed acupuncturists or practitioners licensed to practice acupuncture.

Registration includes recorded modules and quizzes which must be completed in advance in order to participate in the scheduled Sept 14-15 hands-on class.

• Module 1: Patient Intake, Diagnosis and Contraindications (2.5 hours)
• Module 2: Theory and Protocols (3.5 hours)
• Module 3: Face Reading, Microneedling and Skincare (6 hours)
• Module 4: Facial Rejuvenation Cupping, Gua Sha and Derma Roller (3.5 hours)
• Module 5: Advanced Protocols in Facial Acupuncture (5 hours)

Needles used during the course will be included in the course fee.
