In this seminar, practitioners learn how to enhance clinical practice through effective insurance billing and coding techniques, tips, and essential guidelines. Dr.Ilana Gurevich, ND, Lac is an established expert in Naturopathic medical and has worked with a variety of individual businesses throughout the years. In this presentation she discusses and answer most questions related to billing and coding. Attendees can expect to learn how to:  1) Be able to choose the appropriate code based on there services2) Be able to chart in compliance with the details that the code they used require3) Feel confident that if they are audited there charting will be consistent with the requirements of that code

This presentation begins by establishing a baseline understanding of the typical ways physicians use electronic communications, -- e.g. email, texting, online video, etc – in practice. We then come to understand legal and ethical implications of these uses and provide some guidance for adhering to those laws and ethics.  The presentation focuses on a combination of the learners’ professional and ethical responsibilities and the legal standards that help them know how to live up to those responsibilities. Concrete examples are used to help ensure understanding of the material.
